Description
Lamp Project
A 3d printed lamp where angular design meets fluid motion. This modern and stylish lamp is designed to fit into any space. I have combined two styles of design into this lamp - sharp, angular design for the base and a fluid, natural design for the shade. I have also played with the wall thickness to create cool shadows when the light is turned on. This lamp is compatible with the Bambu Lab LED light kit.
In addition, I have also created a second print profile which includes a different design of lamp shade. This lamp shade is much smaller and follows the cubism design style. This shade fits onto the same base as the main fluid lamp. I have used PLA Teal Translucent for this shade to create a cool blue lamp. This design also comes with a hexagonal pattern cover which creates a cool pattern when lit up.
How to build your lamp:
- Place the circular LED light into the middle circle - the wire goes out the back.
- Place the light holder onto the light, make sure the cut out is at the back to allow space for the cable and line up the 3 holes and twist - it will click into place.
- On the back of the base, slide in the cable cover - it slides in on small rails and is held in by friction.
- Lastly, slide the shade down into the base, lining up the 4 cut-outs with the grooves. Make sure the square cut out for the cable on the lamp shade is at the back.
On the bottom of the base are 4 recesses - these are here so that you can add sticky feet. Diameter is 8mm. In addition, there is a hexagonal hole, this helps remove heat from the LED lights and allows you to easily push the light out from the base.
