This is a simple clip designed to gently secure the end of your filament — and it is fully compatible with filament dryers.
Unlike clip types that extend outward from the spool, this model does not protrude beyond the outer circumference. When used in a filament dryer or any device with automatic spool rotation, it does not interfere with rollers and does not affect smooth rotation. You can leave it attached during drying without concern.
If the filament end is left unsecured after use, it can loosen or tangle on the spool, leading to feeding issues or print failures the next time you use it. The common method of inserting the filament into the holes on a spool requires bending it sharply, which can stress the material. Depending on the filament type, this may cause damage or even cracking during insertion.
This clip is designed to hold the filament without sharply bending it. It works with a wide range of materials, including brittle or more fragile filaments. Because it does not rely on spool holes, it can be used regardless of spool brand or shape.
Installation is quick and simple, with no complicated steps required. The model prints without supports and has a very short print time, making it easy to produce and try immediately.
