Description
The Awakened Lion and Lion Dance are traditional auspicious patterns of the Han ethnic group, originating from folk activities in the Han Dynasty and commonly found in architectural, sculptural, and textile decorations. Their prototype can be traced back to the "Lion Dance" performances of the Han Dynasty, which, through long-term evolution, formed a fixed pattern combining two lions and an embroidered ball. During the Northern and Southern Dynasties, this pattern was integrated into war legends, where soldiers crafted wooden lions to intimidate enemies, later evolving into a folk custom of bestowing good fortune
