In areas subject to freezing temperatures hosepipe reels should be stored in a place free from frost. To make this easier I wanted a duplicate of the mount originally supplied for my HozeLock hosepipe reel.

Please study the photographs carefully to make sure the model is suitable for your reel. The grey parts are the originals and the white ones the 3d printed model.

The mount is too large to print on most printers so has been split into the left and right mounts and a link part. The joints are simple dovetails. The link is not at all sturdy but the main use is to set the separation between the two mounts so you can mark the point for the mounting holes typically using a very long nose marker pen.

The region of the mounts that accept screws has been modelled as separate parts and the infill can be set to 100% to resist it crushing when the screws are tightened. Nevertheless you should do the final tightening by hand as it's possible to crush all plastics with a good impact driver.

Do get in touch if you have any ideas for changes or variations to the models.

I can also create Fusion 360 models that will become your property.
