6/5/26 Updated: People were having issues getting the sword off the ground and catching the shield, so I changed the design to make it easier!

Knight of God - The Full Armor of Faith (Dual Edition)

Bring the powerful imagery of Ephesians 6 to your tabletop or display shelf. This "Knight of God" model is a meticulously detailed representation of spiritual warfare, designed for those who appreciate high-quality fantasy miniatures, historical-style plate armor, and faith-based art.

Detailed Description

This model captures a warrior in full plate armor, standing in a vigilant "at-ease" pose. The design features intricate scrollwork, heavy pauldrons, and iconic cross motifs on both the breastplate and the heater-style shield.

I have provided two distinct versions in the included .3mf file:

  1. The Decorative Edition: A clean, aesthetic version featuring the crosses and filigree for a classic, high-fantasy knight look.
  2. The Scriptural Edition: This version features physical embossed text directly on the armor pieces, corresponding to the "Armor of God" descriptions (e.g., "Spirit" on the blade, "Faith" on the shield, and "Salvation" on the helm).

Functionality & Display

This is a high-detail display piece or "statue" model. It is perfect for:

  • Office or Home Decor: A striking reminder of strength and faith.
  • Trophy/Award: A unique gift for church milestones or personal achievements.
  • Gaming: Scale it down for use as a Paladin or Cleric "boss" miniature in tabletop RPGs.

The History of the Design

This design is rooted in the biblical passage of Ephesians 6:10-18, which describes the "Armor of God." Each piece of equipment carries a symbolic meaning:

  • The Sword of Spirit: Forged to represent the Word.
  • The Shield of Faith: Designed to be your primary defense.
  • The Breastplate of Righteousness: Central to the kit, protecting the heart.
  • The Helmet of Salvation: Protecting the mind.

Remix Culture & Creative Uses

This model is a fantastic base for further creativity! Here are some ideas for remixes (tag me if you make them!):

  • Bookends: Mirror the model and add a heavy base to keep your library in place.
  • Vase Mode/Lamp: Print the decorative version with a high-translucency PETG or PLA for a glowing "Spectral Knight" effect.
  • Wearable Cosplay: While currently scaled for display, the geometry is clean enough for those looking to slice and scale this into full-sized wearable armor.

Using the new profile but having issues with the shield 🛡️ - any help? I printed the original just fine but detail wasn’t there. Detail is amazing on new profile but shield keeps stringing.

based on your 2nd image, it looks like you are loosing the support under the shield... And your bed looks really clean. So, I recommend using a glue stick on your print bed for this because this is A VERY tough print. Also, I took the time to INCREASE the brim DIAMETER under that support, so it should hang on stronger now, ESPECALLY if you're using glue (hairspray at a MINIMUM). let me know how it turns out!!! i UPDATED THE PRINT PROFILE WITH TODAYS DATE

One other thing to add… it looks like the shield starts to print just fine… it seems to fall apart when it hits the FAITH letters…

Not going to lie, I messed with supports to get them to my liking, so I can’t exactly comment on the supports included with the profile. But can confirm this is absolutely printable, even if post-processing is a pain the butt lol. Expected for this level of detail though. Awesome model printed for a friend.

this is my very first print on my very first 3-D printer. the support structure it created was very interesting as my first print. The model finished very well with no problems at all. A great big thank you to the creator of this model. I look forward to painting it and posting another picture in the future.

I love the concept and if you do this one over I'll try again and as far as I'm concerned if I can get out the support behind the shield this is awesome and worth a better rating

The updated print has too many supports. I printed and had no issue with this file just 10 days ago. Now when I print the new file the thing is burried is supports that are very hard to remove. Also, shouldn't there be Shoes of Peace?

I had users that kept failing the shield and sword, I know it's harder to remove, but it's better for everyone (especially beginners)

Looks great. Cant wait to print. But for the life of me can anyone tell me how tall this is? I can never find the height to things on the app.

I think it’s a user thing. I’m going to try to print again sorry I gave only 3 stars. I would say the work is beautiful. just the first print was a learning lesson. not just this print but others too I just don’t know how people get the supports off. I tried a dremel, and ultrasonic knife.
