Magnetic Diesel Heater Wall Port (75mm)

Fast & Secure Warmth for Your Camper! šŸšā„ļø Ā **** FIELD TESTED – 1.5 YEARS ****
Ā

This 4-piece magnetic adapter system allows you to connect your external diesel heater to your vehicle (Camper, Canopy, Van) in seconds.Ā
No more tedious screwing in the cold – just snap it on and stay warm!
Ā

How it works:
The system consists of a permanent wall connector, a TPU seal, a hose adapter, and a protective cap. Thanks to 9 powerful magnets, the hose stays securely in place but can be removed instantly when you’re ready to move.
Ā

Features:

  • Magnet-Lock: 9 magnets (10x4mm) and 10x2mm steel discs for a rock-solid connection.
  • Weatherproof: Includes a 3D-printable TPU gasket for a tight seal against the vehicle wall.
  • Protective Cap: Keep dust and bugs out of your camper when the heater is not in use.
  • Field Tested: I have used this system for over 1.5 years on my Alu-Cab Canopy Camper without any issues or leaks.

Hardware needed:

  • 9x Magnets (10 x 4 mm)
  • 18x Steel Discs (10 x 2 mm) – for adapter & cap
  • 9x M4 Bolts (length depending on your wall thickness) & M4 Nuts
  • Standard 75mm diesel heater hose & clamp
  • Superglue or heat-resistant 2-component (2K) epoxy for magnets/discsĀ
*šŸ’” PRO TIP: Use heat-resistant epoxy or industrial glue for the magnets.Ā
Standard superglue may become brittle over time due to heater temperatures.

Installation Note:
Requires a hole cut-out of approx. 75.6 mm (a 76mm hole saw works perfectly).

Printing Recommendations:

  • Material: ASA or ASA-CF (highly recommended for UV and heat resistance).
  • Seal: TPU (95A) for best sealing results.
  • Settings: 4-5 Walls, 25-30% Infill for durability.

Assembly Tip (Polarity):
Since the hose adapter and the cap use steel discs, you don’t have to worry about magnetic polarity – they will always stick! Just ensure the magnets in are glued in flush. Let the glue cure completely before docking the adapter for the first time.

āš ļø Important: This adapter is designed for the warm air outlet, not the combustion exhaust pipe. Never use 3D-printed parts for the exhaust!

🧲 Smart Magnet Setup:
The Wall Connector uses magnets, while the Hose Adapter and Cap use steel discs. This means you don't have to worry about magnetic polarity during assembly—the parts will always attract and snap into place perfectly! Using steel discs on the removable parts prevents the magnets from shattering during fast docking. Built for longevity!

āš ļø SAFETY FIRST:
This adapter is designed exclusively for warm air outlets (max. 100°C / 212°F). DO NOT use this for combustion exhaust pipes! Exhaust gases can reach temperatures over 300°C (570°F), which will melt any 3D-printed part and create a fire hazard.

šŸ› ļø Bambu Lab Optimized:
The provided .3mf files are pre-configured with optimized wall counts, infill patterns, and material settings. This ensures a high success rate and maximum structural integrity for your build right out of the box.

Printed well support was a pain for the hose side but, functionality is great. hopefully it’ll hold up to being on the side of my trailer!

Hey everyone! I designed this because I was tired of screwing the heater hose onto the canopy in the cold. It’s been on my Alu-Cab for 1.5 years now through rain, dust, and heat. Use ASA or ASA-CF for the best results! Happy to answer any questions about the build. šŸššŸ”„
