Description

I made this Mycenaean warrior in Dendra panoply in Blender. The current size is a bit over 100 mm, so it’s scaled to match my previous model (check that one out too :D).

These soldiers (c. 15th century BCE) were elite (and likely very wealthy) Bronze Age Greek soldiers known for wearing one of the earliest full-body suits of armor ever found.

My main inspiration was this artwork made by Joan Francesc Oliveras Pallerols:

A few things were changed to make the model easier to print (and because I’m still a beginner at modeling), especially the helmet and the character’s pose. Despite these adjustments, the model remains historically accurate.

The model is equipped with the Dendra panoply, an Epsilon axe, Dipylon shield and a Sword on his side as a backup weapon.

I recommend slicing the model—or using my pre-sliced version—as the axe can be tricky to print together with the rest of the model!
