Description

When my wife and I bought a beginner recurve bow, the question quickly arose: Where to put it when it's not in hand? A recurve is long, delicate on the limbs – and suitable holders are not so easy to find.
That's why I designed this recurve bow wall mount with support: functional, stable, and visually kept in the recurve style.

Features

  • Wall mount for recurve bows (ideal for beginner/entry-level bows)
  • Support ensures the bow lies steadily and doesn't wobble
  • Upper rest with small stoppers to prevent anything from sliding sideways
  • Screw mounting via two attachment points (with anchors depending on the wall)

Print Recommendation

  • Material: PETG recommended (tougher), PLA also works for normal use
  • Infill: 25–35% (e.g. Gyroid/Grid)
  • Walls/perimeter: 4–5
  • Layer: 0.2 mm (or finer if you want it particularly clean)
  • Supports: depending on slicer/orientation minimal to none – if necessary, activate only on critical overhangs
  • Tip: For extra bow protection, apply a felt/TPU pad or soft tape to the contact surfaces

Assembly & Use

  1. Align the holder in the desired position (so that the bow hangs/rests freely and doesn't hit anything).
  2. Securely attach to the wall with 2 screws + suitable anchors.
  3. Optionally, apply adhesive to the contact surfaces (felt/TPU), then hang/rest the bow.

Required Material (Assembly)

  • 2× Wood screw M4×45, lens head (optional: different lengths depending on wall structure)
  • 2× suitable anchors (depending on wall type, e.g. concrete/brick/plasterboard)

Note

Please ensure the holder is mounted firmly (consider the load-bearing capacity of the wall/anchors) and position the bow so that it cannot be knocked down.
