Bring your cosplay to the next level with this detailed Medieval Fantasy Guard Helmet. Inspired by classic soldier aesthetics, this helmet features a rugged, riveted construction and a distinctive spade (inverted heart) emblem on the sides.
Whether you are a cosplayer, a tabletop RPG enthusiast, or looking for a unique display piece, this helmet offers a realistic look with a "hand-forged" feel.
✨ Key Features:
- High-Detail Rivets: Modeled with protruding rivets along the crest and edges for a realistic armored look.
- Unique Emblem: Features a decorative spade shape on the temple area.
- Open-Back Design: The rear is open (half-helmet style), making it easier to put on and take off, and lighter to wear.
- T-Shaped Visor: Provides good visibility while maintaining that classic guard aesthetic.
- Easy to Print: Designed with 3D printing in mind.
🖨️ Printing Recommendations:
- Material: PLA, PLA+, or PETG (PLA+ is recommended for better durability in cosplay).
- Layer Height: 0.2mm (Standard) or 0.16mm (for finer details).
- Infill: 10% - 15% (Gyroid pattern recommended for strength without wasting material).
- Walls/Perimeters: 3 or 4 walls to ensure the helmet is sturdy.
- Supports: Required.
- Enable supports for the visor area and the dome overhangs.
- Tip: Use Tree/Organic Supports touching buildplate only to save material and make removal easier.
- Orientation: Print flat on the bottom rim for the best stability.
📏 Sizing & Scaling:
- Check your size: This model is standard size, but heads vary!
- Recommendation: Measure your head circumference and scale the model in your slicer (Bambu Studio/Orca) accordingly (usually between 100% - 105% for adult males, depending on padding used).
🎨 Post-Processing:
- Remove supports carefully.
- Sand the surface (start with 120 grit, finish with 400 grit).
- Apply a filler primer to hide layer lines.
- Paint with metallic acrylics (Silver/Steel) and use a black wash to make the rivets pop and add a "weathered" look.
