GEPRC Darkstar 16 Rugged Travel Case (PiP)

Protection for your Cinewhoop – safe, stylish, and well-thought-out! Anyone who owns a GEPRC Darkstar 16 knows how delicate the small frame can be when transported in a backpack. This case is the tailor-made solution: extremely stable, practical, and a real eye-catcher.

✨ Design Highlights

  • Print in Place (PiP): The housing and joints are printed in one piece. No tedious assembly needed – just take it off the print bed and it's done!
  • Minimal Support: The design is optimized so that minimal support material is only needed on the front (lettering) and on the rear joints.
  • Practical Handling: You do not need to remove the antennas! Just pull them out of the holder on the frame and let them hang next to it. The drone will then fit perfectly into the case. (See video!)
  • Carbon Finish: If you print on a PEI Carbon or Diamond plate, you will create this ingenious look on the top, which can be seen in the photos.

🛠️ Available print profiles

Profile 1: "Lite & Fast" (My personal favorite)

  • Material Consumption: approx 162g PETG
  • Print Time: only 4h 55min (Bambu Lab A1)
  • Properties: 2 wall lines, 5% infill. Surprisingly stable and saves material. Ideal for normal transport.

Profile 2: "Rugged Beast" (For maximum security)

  • Material Consumption: approx 245g PETG
  • Print Time: 7h 38min (Bambu Lab A1)
  • Properties: 3 wall lines, 15% Gyroid Infill. Those who subject their drone to harder impacts should choose this profile.

🔧 Print Settings & Tips

  • Material: I recommend PETG. It is more robust and durable than PLA, especially for the PiP hinges and the clasp.
  • Nozzle: Optimized for 0.4mm nozzles.
  • After Printing: The joints can be easily "broken free" after the first opening and will then move smoothly immediately.
