I actually wanted to buy a vortex mixer, but there are countless reports that they don't work properly

Here on MakerWorld I came across an idea based on the eccentric approach of a vortex mixer. Many thanks to tibubufi for the idea

Unfortunately, the part is completely printed, and the pins on the printed part break off quickly

So I sat down at CAD and modeled a robust solution. I tested my mixer with Roizefar 20ml bottles and DSPIAE 50ml bottles. My version looks huge in comparison, but for me, durability comes before size

I use 2 ball bearings instead of 1, and the axles are replaced by screws. The cross-section assembly can be seen in the pictures, and the following are required:

  • 2 nuts DIN985 or DIN982 in size M8 (self-locking nuts)
  • 1 socket head screw DIN912 M8x30
  • 1 hex head screw DIN933 M8x40

The conical part is screwed together with the socket head screw, the 2 bearings, and 1 nut

The hex head screw is inserted into the cylindrical part and fastened with the second nut (the hole is tightly toleranced, an arbor press may be needed here, or it can be helped with a hammer)

Then both parts are pressed together. Here too, the hole for the bearings is very tightly toleranced, I used my arbor press for pressing them in
