Makarov PM - Pistol
The Makarov PM (ПМ, Pistolet Makarova) is a 9×18mm caliber semi-automatic pistol designed by Soviet engineer Nikolay Makarov in 1948 and officially adopted in 1951, intended to replace the TT-33 and become the standard issue pistol for the Soviet army and Warsaw Pact countries.
Key parameters: All-steel construction, blowback + fixed barrel design, empty weight 0.73kg, overall length 161mm, barrel length 93mm, fed by an 8-round single-stack magazine, effective range 50 meters, muzzle velocity approximately 315m/s. Features a double-action/single-action trigger, exposed hammer for manual cocking, and a safety that also functions as a decocker, ensuring high safety.
Design features: Extremely simple structure (only 28 parts), highly reliable, adaptable to harsh environments such as severe cold and sand, and easy to maintain. Fires dedicated 9×18mm Makarov ammunition, with moderate power and soft recoil, suitable for rapid continuous firing.
