Description
This is a V1 version of a magnetic hoop for my Poolin E0C06. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. I've done some basic testing, but i'm sure there will be unresolved issues to get figured out. For example, it appears that the magnets can stick to the machine plate. My tests seemed to work ok, but this might be a problem.
For those willing to test and try it out, feel free to download it see what works/what doesn't. I'm not very experienced with the software, but I can try to update things if there's interest.
**The bottom frame dovetails need to be superglued to the hoop connection dovetails. The print doesn't fit on the X1C bed, so this was my solution. Once glued in place, it seems to be pretty strong.
I've also tried to make the model customizable for different sized magnets. The current max would be what I used, a 12 x 3 mm magnet.
The locking mechanism for the hoop is pretty basic, but doesn't require extra hardware (besides the magnets). The hoop hooks into the Poolin posts, and then the slide secures the hool from the other direction. There are little nubs that help it lock in to place, but I haven't tested extensively to see if everything stays properly in place. It seems to be fairly secure though, between the locking nubs and the friction fit to the posts.
