Brick Train Track Modular Organizer

Compatible with the best known “brick building system” train tracks. (for when your kids grow out of Duplo and you bring in the city train) 

The base piece is in fact compatible with the Duplo version, should you have my previous model lying around, you can reuse the base.

Note: it can store the standard straight and curbed pieces of train tracks. (see pictures). It will not hold the train switch pieces properly, unless they are the first pieces close to the ground, because of their center of gravity, which is further out than the normal ones.

For printing and assembly: 

• No glue or other materials required. Pieces stay together and you might decide to extend or regroup them later on. Of course, you can glue them, if you like.  :)
• You will need to choose a base type: 
  • flat base - for storing on a flat surface
  • box lid base - for storing on top of a special storage box for these bricks sold by the manufacturer (see pictures). Here you will need to print the "railBoxLidStabiliser" because the track pieces require a flat surface for stability.
• Calculate the storage height you need depending on the number of tracks you want to store: 
  • 15 cm height store 30 track pieces. 
  • 20 cm height store 40 track pieces.
  • 25 cm height store 50 track pieces.
• Choose an end piece: 
  • 25cm, 20cm or 15 cm
• If required add up to 2 middle pieces: 
  • note: maybe more can be added, but it eventually grows quite tall. Also, you should have run out of floor space for building said tracks… In case you have not, maybe consider printing a second track organiser. 
  • the middlePiece20cm.stl offers 15 cm of storage height (fits 30 tracks) 
  • the middlePiece25cm.stl offers 20 cm of storage height (fits 40 tracks)
