F4U Fighter
(English: F4U Fighter, designation: F4U, code/nickname: Corsair, translation: Pirate) is a type of propeller-driven carrier-based and land-based fighter aircraft of the US Navy.
The F4U Fighter features a single-seat, single-engine, straight-wing configuration, with good acceleration, powerful firepower, fast climb rate, and durability. It was the first American fighter aircraft to exceed 640 km/h, and one of the fastest piston-engine fighters. Its wing design made it unique compared to other aircraft of its type, and in addition to aerial combat, it also served as a tactical bomber.
The F4U Fighter was developed by Vought, USA, made its maiden flight on May 29, 1940, and served with the US military during World War II and the Korean War. After the Korean War, the F4U remained in service with some countries until the 1960s. In the Pacific Theater of World War II, the F4U and F6F were mainstays of the US Navy, becoming formidable adversaries for Japanese fighters. After the war, according to US Navy statistics, the F4U had a kill ratio of 11:1, meaning for every 11 enemy aircraft shot down, only 1 F4U was lost, boasting an impressive record.
(Assembly requires glue.)
(If the propeller and wheels need to rotate, screws are required--M2.5*6--3 pieces, M2.5*10--1 piece. Materials of similar length can also be cut as a substitute. If no movement is needed, glue them directly.)
Test printer: P1S, PEI build plate, Bambu Lab PLA. Main body 0.2mm layer height, small parts 0.12mm layer height, 2 walls, acceleration all 1000 or below, small parts speed 80.
Before printing, remember to thoroughly clean the PEI build plate, ensure its adhesion is good, and make sure the filament is dry.
Assembly is simple; refer to the main image for installation. B-7000 glue is needed, and tight areas may require slight sanding.
