Customizable Led Text Display & Source of Light

Make your own Led Light Text, using CAD Software Guide (step files on Printables):
1. First make sketch of your text, recommended text height is 40 mm
2. Measure your whole text width, if its for example more than 270mm (like on picture below), then download “Led Light Raw 280 mm.step” file

3. Import downloaded .step file into your design and cut it using the sketched text
4. then make an extrusion of the text as new component, extrude it to 0.5 mm
5. export text and Led Light as one component (but they are still separated, text and Led Light are separated components)
6. drag exported .step file into Bambu Studio or Orca Slicer
7. go to the object view in Process section and you can see your imported .step file consists of two separated components
8. choose text to be printed out of white filament

9. Set white filament to be printed before black, it makes print looking better

Hardware:

- Option 1 (no soldering)

• 5V, 5mm Led, White 6000K, 1m (I bought it from here)

  

- Option 2 (you gain on/off switch, soldering needed)

• 5V, 5mm Led, White 6000K, 1m (I bought it from here)

• USB Connector Cable with On/Off Switch (I bought it from here)

Additionally you can buy cable gland, but is not needed, you can use zipties to securly hold wires in place instead of cable gland:

• Cable Gland M8-4 GY 1pcs (I bought it from here)
