Bad Day Benchy is a 3D printing torture-test model designed to push your printer and slicer to their limits.

Unlike traditional benchmark boats that focus on dimensional accuracy and fine detail, this model is not intended for precise measurement or calibration. Instead, it is built specifically to test extreme overhangs, steep angles, supports, and challenging geometry that expose weaknesses in cooling, bridging, and support settings.

The design represents a boat that has been capsized by rough seas. The hull is printed upside down, while the surrounding supports resemble raging waves crashing around the wreck, turning the entire print into both a diagnostic tool and a dramatic display piece if supports are left attached.

Use my print profile and make adjustments as needed. This printed perfect on my A1 with PETG, but is your printer and plate up to the challenge?

If your printer can survive this storm, your everyday prints will feel easy!
