Video Proof: Metal or Plastic?

Hey guys! Here is a little guardian for your wall.

Whether you call him Hugin, Munin, or just "Herbert" – this buddy keeps an eye on what's happening in your workshop. I designed this relief specifically to really pop in 3D.

⚙️ Printing Info: I only printed him standing upright, I haven't tested it lying flat. Standing up gives you much sharper details on both sides and avoids ugly layer lines on the face, so I definitely recommend that.

  • Layer Height: I used 0.16 mm, which is perfect for the details.
  • Supports: Yes, he needs them. I always use Tree Supports, they are super easy to remove. But of course, you can just use the support settings you trust most.
  • Infill: 10-15% is totally enough.

🎨 My painting tip (as seen in the photos): The model is perfect for practicing drybrushing. Here is how I did it:

  1. Print in Black (as a base).
  2. Give it a heavy drybrush with Bronze for that antique look.
  3. Add some accents with Gold.
  4. Finish with a very light touch of Silver on the feather tips. Looks like solid metal in the end, but weighs almost nothing. ;)

Happy printing and painting! Post a make, I'm curious to see how he turns out for you.
