Description

These are peptide cases that are configured for a varying number of vials of different sizes. I modified the original concept to achieve more compact scaling, saving space in the fridge. I also created a custom insert to keep the vials from rattling or clinking. I also made this version in addition to my original remix, which did not have a separate latch.

I opted for a fully printable design to make assembly easier, which eliminates the need for any additional hardware or components that might rust in a humid environment.

Design Details

  • No Hardware: The top, bottom, and latch snap together. No screws or pins required.
  • Secure Insert: Custom internal layout keeps vials upright.
  • Compact Scaling: Slimmed down to fit easily in side doors or butter compartments.
  • Material: Printed PLA+ so the latch and snap features can flex without breaking. Regular PLA works given the use case, and PETG is also preferred if you want more flexibility.

Variations (Print Profile Differences)

The following models will hold the specified number of vials at the mentioned size. If I don't already have a configuration that fits your needs, let me know and I will try to create something based on demand.

  • 3+5+10S+10W Model
    • (8) 3ml Vials
    • (2) 5ml Vials
    • (2) Standard 10ml Vials (23mm x 55mm)
    • (2) Wide 10ml Vials (27mm x 55mm)

Print Settings

  • Filament: PLA+, PLA, or PETG
  • Supports: None used, tree supports can be added if any overhangs didn't print clean.
  • Walls: 3 (Tolerances aren’t super tight; all mechanisms work smoothly with little friction)
  • Infill: 15% (Gyroid is my preferred)

Assembly

Once the parts have finished, assemble the top and bottom pieces, attach the latch, and push in the insert. The insert is designed to be a tight fit, so it stays locked in place. The snap fit is snug to make sure the case stays together during use.
