š Description
"Rev up your tone!"
Stop using boring, stock plastic controls. If your playing is a high-performance engine, your guitar deserves the hardware to match. The Piston Head Knob Series is designed for players who want a rugged, industrial, and "grease-monkey" aesthetic on their instruments.
This set is a complete overhaul for your rig, featuring three different sizes engineered for both potentiometers and selector switches. From massive volume swells to lightning-fast pickup changes, these pistons are built to handle the heat.
Why you need these in your garage:
- Mechanical Excellence: A realistic piston design that transforms your guitar or bass into a custom-built machine.
- Full Rig Integration: Three specific sizes to cover every control on your instrument (Volume, Tone, and Pickup Selector).
- Industrial Grip: The "piston ring" grooves provide a superior tactile surface for maximum control even during the most intense performances.
- Heavy-Duty Look: Perfect for Metal, Hard Rock, or any player who wants a "Boutique Industrial" vibe.
š Technical Specifications
This pack includes three specialized versions:
- Large Piston (25mm): The powerhouse. Perfect for master volume or high-impact controls. Fits standard 6.35mm (1/4") shafts.
- Medium Piston (19mm): The versatile choice. Ideal for tone pots or tight pedalboard layouts. Fits standard 6.35mm (1/4") shafts.
- Switch Piston (14mm): Specifically designed for 3 or 5-way blade switches (Stratocaster/Telecaster style).
Mounting: Potentiometer versions use a secure M3 Set-Screw system. Hardware Required: 1x M3 Nut + 1x M3 Set Screw (for the 25mm and 19mm versions).
š§ Assembly Instructions
- For Pots (25mm/19mm): Insert the M3 Nut into the slot, thread the M3 Screw, slide onto the 6.35mm shaft, and tighten.
- For Switches (14mm): Simply press-fit the piston onto your pickup selector blade.
šØ Printing & Finishing Tips
- Material: PLA+ or PETG. For a true engine-block feel, Resin or Silk Silver PLA are the best choices.
- The "Chrome" Finish: Use a high-quality silver/chrome spray or "Rub 'n Buff" for a realistic metallic look.
- Weathering: Apply a dark "oil wash" (diluted black paint) into the grooves to simulate a used, vintage engine part.
- Layer Height: 0.1mm is recommended to keep the piston rings and top head perfectly smooth.
Don't let your gear idle. Download the Piston Series and shift your tone into high gear!
