CHESS & CHECKERS – Bookcase Edition (All the Classics - One Board)

CHESS & CHECKERS – Bookcase Edition packs multiple timeless strategy games into one sharp, shelf-worthy set. A classic 8×8 board with 32 black and white CHESS pieces and 64 reversible black-red stackable chips for CHECKERS and other classics like Reversi, (Othello), Shobu, Zola, and Go-Moku. Simple, versatile, built for thinkers—and made to be played again and again.

GAME COMPONENTS

The CHESS & CHECKERS – Bookcase Edition set includes an 8x8 board, 1 set of Black & White Chess pieces, 64 reversible Black-Red stackable chips and a Bookcase Edition storage box. The 8x8 board can sit on the top of the box with a simple 90 degree turn and has recesses to keep game pieces in place. The Chess pieces are low profile and dual color (black-white). The Checker chips are double-sided (black-red). 24 chips are provided on plate 1 for the Checkers game. An additional 40 chips are provided on plate 2 to allow for other types of game play like Reversi and many others.

BOOKCASE EDITION BOX

The CHESS & CHECKERS – Bookcase Edition game includes a Bookcase Edition box with a slide top. This bookcase edition box can be stored on a shelf with your other matching bookcase edition games. The box includes storage areas for the game pieces and game board.

To store the parts, place the game board in the box (it fits by turning it 90 degrees), add the chess pieces to the game board, add the Checkers to the board by stacking in sets of two. (Checker pieces must be stacked in pairs to stay securely in box). The lid should now slide over all of the game pieces, keeping them in securely in place. To use the board, lift out of the box, turn 90 degrees and place back on the top area of the box or place on a table without the box.

INFORMATION & ASSEMBLY

All parts were printed with PLA filament, matt or flat colored filaments work best on board games. I use a textured plate for adhesion. Some parts will need to be superglued, for example, the book spine is glued to the square cornered side of the bookcase box. A little bit of oil on the edges of the lid will help with the slide into the box top. Inspiration for the chess pieces came from Josh-3d.
