GEARLOCK – Modular Chain & Shape System

👉 Quick‑Start available: Print the QuickStart-7C‑Star‑Set first.

A mechanical modular system of Gears, Locks, and Endcaps. Build flexible chains, rigid shapes, or complex structures – all without screws.

GEARLOCK is a modular connection system made of three building blocks:

  • GEARS – the shapes
  • LOCKS – the connection
  • ENDCAPS – the finish

All parts snap together mechanically and can be combined as desired. You can:

  • build flexible chains
  • create rigid shapes
  • mix designs
  • expand structures
  • develop your own patterns

The system is fully printable, without supports, without screws, without glue.

How GEARLOCK works (in 20 seconds):

1. Gears = Building Blocks

There is one Gear in three designs (filled, indentation, hole). All function the same – you just choose the look.

2. The Shape is Created by the C‑Count

Each building block has a specific number of C‑connectors:

  • 2C (Line)
  • 3C (Line)
  • 4C (Star)
  • 7C (Star)
  • 9C (Square)

This C‑count determines the shape of the fidget.

3. Full‑Locks = rigid connection

For each C‑count, there is a matching Full‑Lock. With this, you build rigid structures.

4. Half‑Locks = flexible connection

Half‑Locks are combinable. With this, you build movable chains.

5. Endcap = Finish

A hybrid‑Lock:

  • one side full
  • one side half

With this, you cleanly finish each chain.

You don't need to know more – print them and try them out. The rest will become clear when you play.
