Expensive Glue, colored silicone, whatever it is, just don't let it dry out easily!
With this cartridge cap set & gear style lever for tight closing and easy opening again if it stuck over time. It just makes sense!
There are at least two different main threads when it comes to cartridges. One is fine threaded, the other one is coarse threaded. Fine threads are common with metal/alloy cartridges and coarse threads are common with plastic cartridges. You can see the differences in the gallery and the type is embedded slightly into the side of the cap as well.
Use the lever to tighten the caps properly if necessary but it also works without levering them.
