Description
This model is inspired by the Korean traditional “Akmagi Bugeo”, a folk talisman believed to block bad energy and protect the household ✨
“Bugeo” refers to dried pollock, a traditional preserved fish in Korea that appears in both cuisine and cultural customs.
In Korean culture, dried pollock (bugeo) has long symbolized prosperity, abundance, and protection. It is often hung at entrances of homes, shops, or offices during the New Year, after moving, or when starting a new business. The twisted rope detail represents binding and blocking negative energy, while inviting stability and well-being.
I redesigned this traditional object into a clean 3D printable form while keeping the symbolic elements:
- Stylized dried pollock body
- Twisted rope centerpiece
- Horizontal hanging form for display
It works well as:
- Home or office decoration 🏠
- Traditional protection charm
- Cultural display piece
- Unique gift with meaning 🎁
Printing Tips:
- No supports needed (recommended to print sideways as shown)
- Use gold, wood, or natural tones for the fish body
- White filament works great for the rope part
- Slow outer wall speed helps keep the surface details sharp
Bring a touch of Korean tradition and symbolic protection to your space ✨
