Snow and Ice Claws for the Rlaarlo Omni Terminator

I designed some snow and ice claws for my Rlaaro Omni Terminator Carbon. These claws are 48mm wide printed in Polymaker Fiberon ASA-CF08.  I secured these using Mezzo 11.8" stainless cable tie that you can buy on amazon. These will not work with nylon cable ties. Also note that you need needle nose pliers and tin snips to cut and shape the cable ties, when you cut the steel tie short, you need to roll back the sharp edge with the needle nose pliers. 

We recently had about 6" of sleet which turned to a shell of ice. These claws add alot of traction that the factory tires could not achieve. The factory tires basically drift at high speeds across the icy surface. These claws allow you to bite violently and accelerate very fast. I suggest refrencing my image to see how to align each cable tie. 

I think that these claws would work on any rc, these are only 48mm wide, but they would assist any crawler in mud, snow or ice. 

In my testing I found that the Bravo Claw is more fragile than the Alpha claw due to how thin the radius causes the edge to terminate. I may redesign a Charlie version of this claw, but I think you will find that the Alpha version works fine.  The torque from the omni terminator does cause the zipties and claws to shift backwards a bit so this does effect traction some, but this setup performs pretty well at high speeds. I would avoid asphalt and rock because the carbon fiber asa is very strong but also very brittle.
