Vintage Radial Engine Wall Art – Aircraft Radial Engine Decorative Model

Get a piece of aviation history directly on your wall This detailed model of a classic 9-cylinder radial engine including propeller is the ultimate statement piece for pilots, technology enthusiasts, and fans of industrial design

The model has been optimized for 3D printing and can be ideally color-matched thanks to the separate components (cylinders, housing, propeller, spinner) – even without a multi-color printer

MaterialPLA (e.g., PLA Silk Silver for the engine, Copper/Wood PLA for the propeller)

Layer height0.16mm – 0.2mm (0.12mm recommended for cylinder cooling fins)Infill15% Gyroid (offers good stability with low weight)

Support structuresYes, for the spinner and cylinder heads (Tree Supports recommended)

Walls3 walls for better stability of the propeller blades

Super glue needed for assembly

1 threaded rod M8 + nuts and washers necessary for assembly for the propeller to spin, 1 ball bearing 22/6 is advantageous, this can be inserted into the motor cover

Hello, thank you for this magnificent model, I have started the assembly and I realize that a stl file is missing, which corresponds to the part circled in red in the photo, which is the valve stem pusher. Can you add it to the downloadable files, thank you

So I finally finished this masterpiece! Had to custom design some of the wall mounting hardware. Hope y’all like it! I made copper plug wires to finish it off!

I just printed out all the plates and love your design, but I noticed it is missing these connectors pieces that the arrow is pointing to. Can you add them to the file? thanks!

Hello, thank you for sharing this fantastic project, I've a question about plate 13 where are placed the two propeller tips: is there any reason for having different thikness ?

Hello, the left variant is reinforced, you can use both. I accidentally put both on the print bed

Just some info on this engine. I am defiantly going to print this for my bar. From what I can find. This is a 100hp Gnome Monosoupape Type B Rotary Engine from France. Borne around 1909 I believe. The prop is fixed to the engine. Meaning the engine & the prop are rotating. This is a single valve 4 stroke engine. It has a total loss oiling system. Meaning there is no oil contained in the engine. It is pumped through the engine when running. The exhaust is out of the top center of each cylinder.

Yes, that's right, the engine is a Gnom Engine which was used as a base. these signs were added by me to the model. you can use them.

@user_321522312 it doesn't seem irrelevant, it's decor for your home in general, your indoor bar is part of your home. It could easily be considered bar decor
