✨ The "Resin-Ready" Design

Unlike standard flat prints, these models use raised color islands on a black base.

• Raised Surfaces: The colored parts stand higher than the black base lines.
• The "Moat" Effect: There is a distinct gap between each color section. This gap acts as a capillary break, preventing liquid resin from flowing between colors.
• The Result: When you apply resin to the raised surfaces, surface tension holds it in place, creating a beautiful "domed" glass effect on each color without them bleeding into each other.

1. Single Set (1 of Each):
   • Contains one of every character.

   • Best for: Testing the design or printing a full collection for yourself.

      

2. Bulk Production (4 of Each):
   • Contains plates with 4 copies of each character.
   • Best for: Efficiently printing multiple sets for gifts or markets.

⏱️ A Note on Print Times

Don't let the print times in the print profile list scare you. MakerWorld's summary adds up the time for every single plate in the profile (e.g., printing all 11 characters back-to-back):

• Single Set Plates: These take about 45 minutes per plate.
• Bulk Set Plates (4x): A full batch of 4 key chains takes approximately 1.5 hours. So, more efficient per key chain.

These are designed to be quick, efficient prints!

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Safety First

Please read before handling UV Resin. UV Resin is a chemical product and should be treated with respect.

• Wear Gloves: Always wear Nitrile gloves. Uncured resin can cause skin irritation or allergic reactions ("sensitization") over time.
• Ventilation: Work in a well-ventilated area. Open a window or use a fume extractor, as resin releases fumes while curing.
• Skin Contact: If resin gets on your skin, wash it immediately with soap and water (do not use alcohol to clean skin, as it helps the resin absorb).
• Eye Protection: Wear safety glasses to prevent accidental splashes.

🎨 How to Coat with UV resin (Doming Method)

Although they look great just as they are, to achieve the glossy finish shown in the photos, follow these steps:

1. Print: Use standard PLA/PETG.

   • Tip: If you don't have a specific color (e.g., Keroppi Green), print that island in White and paint the top surface with acrylics before coating.

      

2. Apply Resin: Carefully apply clear UV resin to the top of the raised colored sections. Start in the center and push the resin gently toward the edges with a silicon tipped brush or equivalent.

    

3. Trust the Edge: The resin will naturally stop at the edge of the raised part due to surface tension. Do not overfill, or it will spill into the black gaps!

    

4. Pop Bubbles: Quickly pass a lighter or torch over the surface to pop any trapped air bubbles.

    

5. Cure: Harden under a UV lamp.

⚠️ Warning for Small Details: For tiny islands (like eyes or small bows):

• Do not squeeze resin directly from the bottle.
• Use a silicon tipped brush, toothpick or needle to transfer a tiny drop onto the raised detail.
