Description
This is a custom NFC stand that you can add your own text and/or SVG images to. It is modeled for a standard 25mm NFC chip, and is designed to be seamlessly embedded within the print itself. There is a pause already added in the file that will allow you to add the chip, then continue printing. I used the NTAG15 NFC chips (50 for $10 on Amazon).
Please consider giving me a boost if you like it!
Tips:
Adding Text:
- Rotate to the front of the stand (the side on the build plate)
- Select ‘Add Text’
- Use these settings:
- Thickness: .2mm
- Embedded depth: .2mm
- Operation: Modifier
- Whatever text, font, and size you want
- Grab the yellow box to move the text wherever you want
- Go to Objects and change the filament color
- Make sure your first layer uses your text/image filament first! That order matters greatly for clarity. To change:
- Click the Gear icon on the side of your build plate
- Change ‘First layer filament sequence’ to ‘Customize’
- Drag your filament to the right order
Adding Image:
- Go to Objects
- Right click the Body, and choose ‘Add Modifier’
- Select SVG
- Choose your SVG file
- Note on this, you can find many free SVG icons online. If you need to make your own, Claude/ChatGPT are both very helpful and fast. You will need the (free) Inkscape program though to convert the created SVG into a vectored version Bambu Studio can use.
- Change these settings:
- Depth: .2mm
- Size: that blue bar is a sliding scale (took me longer to figure that out than I'd like to admit). Scale to whatever size you want.
- Operation: Modifier
- Grab the yellow box to move the image wherever you want
- Go to Objects and change the filament color
Filament order:
Make sure your first layer uses your text/image filament first! That order matters greatly for clarity. To change:
- Click the Gear icon on the side of your build plate
- Change ‘First layer filament sequence’ to ‘Customize’
- Drag your filament to the right order
