Description

Quickie Push Broom Handle Repair Sleeve (Heavy-Duty, Rivet Secured)

This heavy-duty repair sleeve restores a loose or broken connection between a Quickie-style push broom head and a standard 1-inch metal handle.
The design requires large pop rivets for mechanical retention, creating a strong, permanent repair that holds up to real pushing, twisting, and outdoor use.

Instead of replacing the entire broom, this part reinforces the worn socket and locks the handle in place with rivets.

What this part does

  • Reinforces cracked or worn broom head sockets
  • Restores a rigid fit to 1" broom handles
  • Uses large-diameter rivets for high strength
  • Extends the life of common Quickie push brooms

Fit & compatibility

  • Designed for Quickie push broom heads with worn handle sockets
  • Fits standard 1-inch broom handles
  • Rivets required for installation (adhesive optional)

Hardware required

  • 2–4 pop rivets, 3/16" diameter recommended
  • Rivet tool capable of 3/16" rivets

Printing notes

  • Material: PETG recommended (PLA acceptable for indoor use)
  • Print vertically for maximum strength
  • Use higher wall count and moderate infill for durability

Installation overview

  1. Insert the sleeve into the broom head socket and install the handle.
  2. Align the pre-modeled rivet holes.
  3. Drill through the handle using a bit sized for 3/16" rivets.
  4. Install rivets to mechanically lock the assembly.
  5. Optional: add epoxy before riveting for a sealed, permanent repair.

Why this design

Push brooms usually fail at the handle socket long before the bristles wear out. Large rivets distribute load, resist twisting, and outperform glue-only fixes, making this a simple, long-lasting repair.

Remix welcome for different rivet sizes, hole counts, or handle diameters.
