Description

I use Aqara P1's for motion detection with my Home Assistant (alarm, light etc.).

I have never been a big fan of the included stand fra Aqara and my old alarm had sensors placed via wall mounted ball joints. So I decided to see if I could design a new mount for the P1 that could reuse the wall mounts already in place (mount position would be the same anyway).

It didn't take me long to design and print a mount for the P1 that could be used with my old mounts. Then I decided to design a new wall mount as well, so others could use this design :-)

I few comments on the design:

The P1 holder is tight-fit, so the sensor will not come loose even in a head down position. It can be a little tricky to get the P1 out of the holder when pressed in, so make sure you mount it correct before you press it in (front of sensor vs. back of holder).

The wall mount is designed to take 20mm wide double sided tape for easy mounting on wall (the red tape on the pictures).

The pictures show the print in black PLA Matte, for better contrast on the photos. PLA Matte in white works really well color-wise.

I hope you enjoy this design.

Boosts and likes is always welcome :-)
