Description

Cartoon cat butler - ready to hold your rubber.

I used Midjourney to get a template for the MakerLab Picture-to-3D-model app. With Hunyuan 3D 3.0 I got a neat model that retained all the details of the template picture while adding missing elements from the hidden side - a step that needs quite a bit of luck and a large number of suitable templates to find the best option. This time, I had to prepare the base and fix the plate (it was quite tilted forward and thus objects would fall off). One now can reliably place a rubber on the large plate.

I printed the base in black and changed to silver for the actual figure once the base was completely done (about layer 78 at a scale of 100 %). I think silver suits the figurine with its theme of an elegant, distinguished butler. Furthermore, I used the regular support type. Removing them - as always - takes some time and requires delicacy as several elements are prone to break if too much force is dealt to them (in this case only the tail, arms/hands and the plate - be extra careful with the tail!!!). I usually get better results when printing such figures with the regular supports instead of the tree type. A layer height of 0.16 mm in quality mode was chosen. I quite like the resulting model, as does my son - the original commissioner of the project. I would be happy if other makers would try to print it, as well.
