  • Cherry MX–style mechanical keyboard switch x 1:

Description

This is a handheld, satisfying fidget built around a standard Cherry MX–style mechanical keyboard switch (required), giving you that crisp, tactile click with every press. Designed to resemble a Sharpie permanent marker, but shorter to fit easier in your hand, and wider to fit the keyboard switch inside. Hold and press with your thumb, or tap against the nearest surface.

This model requires an MX-Style "clicky" keyboard switch that you will need to supply. The term “clicker” refers to a fidget toy with a keyboard switch inside. The “click” comes from using a “clicky” style switch. If you use a different style of switch, the model will not click. For example: Blue “Clicky” Switches on Amazon

Some features of the design:

  • Includes three versions of the body:
    • Single color no-logo version
    • Single-color with a recessed “Clickie” logo
    • Two color: gray body with black “Clickie” logo
  • Keyboard switch snaps in easy and tight, so should not need any glue.
  • Cap fits tightly on the keyboard switch. You might need to press hard to get it on, but shouldn't need glue.
  • The cap is keyed to the body so it can't spin, and thus cannot damage the keyboard switch inside
  • Print the cap in any color to resemble your favorite marker color

Printing Considerations:

  • The cap has an inner brim to give it a larger bed contact area while printing
  • If you're concerned about bed adhesion, you may want to add a brim to the body. The profile doesn't have one, and it hasn't been knocked over for me, but it's a risk with taller parts like this.
  • The two-color body will require an AMS or a machine with dual extruders
