Description
My take on the Colt Lightning / Thunderer revolver once used by Billy the Kid. I tried printing a model of this six shooter that didn't end up working out for me (gold gun in photos). It took about 24 hours of design / re-design time to get this to come out the way I envisioned. There are 8 parts spread across 5 build plates. Two versions of the upper frame and two versions of the lower frame which includes larger trigger finger spacing. When assembling the upper portion, 1st - cylinder, 2nd cylinder pin and lastly the barrel as it retains the cylinder and pin. I have increased the dimensions of some critical areas to make the model more “playable”. This is technically a non-functioning model but the cylinder does spin when printed correctly.
