Description

This organizer allows for storage of all parts of killzone Octarius. If you own the 2021 Kill Team starter set (also called Octarius), or if you own the board game Speed Freeks, you will find storage boxes for that terrain here too (the Fences Box and the Junk Box is what you need).

Lettering has been added to the lids of the boxes. You can easily color the lettering yourself with a flood fill tool that detects edges, or just use the 3mf which has it pre-colored for you. You need a multi-material system like the AMS to be able to print the lettering. The boxes also have cutouts for 5x2 mm magnets. Installing magnets is entirely optional (I do not).

You want to print 2 Half Bunker trays, and 1 of everything else. There are two options for the Half Bunker tray. If you put on the “legs” on the ruin pieces where the instructions tell you to put them, then only tray V2 will work for you. If you were more creative, make sure you pick the options that fits your build.

The Junk Box requires assembly. You need to push the lid into the box, which may require a bit of force. Once together, you are not supposed to ever take things apart again. You don't need glue.

With the above mentioned exceptions, for this organizer to work for you, you need to have built all elements as described in the build instructions. Everything prints without supports, brims, etc.

The entire killzone, with board, fits in a Really Useful Box, size 17L USA, but it's a tight fit. You can see in the pictures how you can fit it all. Note that you need to put a cutout in the Junk Box over the stick of the Half Bunker Tray. The Oil Pump Tray also just barely fits, and you will want to be a little careful inserting it as to not ruin the paint.

You can find other Killzone organizers here:

If a killzone doesn't have a working link, I am planning on designing an insert, but it's not there yet.

More very nice storage. Thank you, I love your work I just had a small problem twice with the peeling of the fine pieces from the plate 04 " Junk Box Lid " on my A1 (see photo). I think I should have put an edge maybe?

From the picture, it looks like the one side of that print lifted up from the build plate. I am actually pretty surprised it still fits. A brim or mouse ears might have prevented this from happening, but you should not need to do that. I think your plate might have been a little dirty maybe, causing some adhesion issues? These parts are designed to be able to be printed without supports, brims, etc. Instead of a brim, I would get some hairspray (Google for what people are buying in your country to help make 3D prints stick better to the build plate) Hairspray has solved all my adhesion issues. If there is a part of this print that will have adhesion issues, it will be the part that failed for you, as the area touching the plate is long and narrow.

Perfect! I don’t have the full Octarius terrain, but the Junk and Fence boxes fit the scatter terrain from the Kill Team ‘21 starter box.

first 2 pieces printed well third piece was the lid for the sort of rubble debris pile box. when that printed the lid of the box stuck to the plate and the rest sort of came apart. not sure why that would happen. I've had corners lift but never had the first layer fully seperate like that

This happens when you have a partial clog. The nozzle still squirts PLA, but not as much as it should. It creates a brittle layer that will tear apart with the least amount of force. I've had this happen to my own prints a few times. First time it happened it took me a while to understand why my prints where failing, but not all my prints. Also, this issue may come and go. It may impact a few layers, then it will be fine again, and then it will come back. The best way of fixing it is to do a "cold pull". Bambu has a good article up if you Google. It's actually pretty simple. Also use that little needle that you got with your printer to go through the nozzle from the bottom (but this will probably not remove the bit that's clogging, just dislodge it, the cold pull is what gets it out) Good luck. After you fix it, try that lid again and let me know what you think then. :)
