Halo Assault Rifle(CE/2/3) Midi scale & Full Scale

HALO Assault Rifle Inspired by Combat Evolved and 3 game versions.

Updates: Added 32 round display variation - parts have been added to the build plates in the 100% Scale 3mf. Individual stl's available in the raw model files folder called ‘32 round display’.

INCLUDED FILES

• All build plates of parts for a 60% scale version for assembly
• Combined assembly at 40% scale and coloured for multicolour printing (non-functional)
• Stand for horizontal display (saved at 60% scale)

WORKING ON

• Stand variations (vertical and ask for others!)

One build will give all the parts to assemble the model at 60% scale. Do not print any smaller or the functionality will be impaired and some wall thicknesses could cause prints to fail.

There is a second profile specifically for 100% scale, parts have been split, supports optimised and an additional component to remove slack in the assembly. 100% scale gives a final length of 85.3cm (I dont know why I chose this length I may have misread a value when I first checked) it is apparently 88cm long on the wiki so if you are a stickler for accuracy print at 103% scale. 

TIPS

• Use orientations as they are, these are tested
• Use the Print profile for 100% scale instead of upscaling the 60% one, it has part, support and additional component changes.
• Dont over torque screws, they will snap, test for remaining assembly wiggle as you gradually tighten.
• The screen (blue part) is quite fiddly, I was able to press it on with firm pressure from a screwdriver 
• Some parts need a thorough clean up of supports to fit together well
• Taller parts require good bed adhesion or may fail easily (i have already added supports to account for this), increase brim on supports if it is a concern
• Did not require glue at 60% but tolerance will be a slightly looser fit at bigger scales (tell me if there is too much play between parts)
• Colours included are just a guide, do what you think is best!

If you just want a smaller model to display or paint I have included a print of the rifle that is a single part. I coloured it for any AMS users but this is untested

I printed at 36% scale and the detail was still there.

The stand file has a left and right hand version, decide which way you want the rifle to point and keep the corresponding part. 

I Have added a stronger stand that will hold the 100% scale rifle no problem using PLA. 

If you want a stand to hold the rifle upwards or another orientation just let me know and can add one.
