Description

SwitchBot Blind Tilt – Pull Cord Blind Adapter

Not everyone has blinds with a wand… so I fixed that 😉

This is a re-imagined adapter for the SwitchBot Blind Tilt, designed specifically for pull-cord blinds. If your blinds are operated by a cord rather than a twisting rod, this design lets you automate them without losing manual control.

The adapter allows your blinds to be:

  • Controlled directly from the SwitchBot app
  • Automated via Alexa, Google Assistant, or Home Assistant
  • Still operated manually, exactly like normal blinds

So if the smart stuff ever fails, or you just want to tug the cord like a caveman, you still can.

🧠 Design Goals

  • Compatible with pull-cord blinds
  • No permanent modifications to your blinds
  • Keeps manual operation fully functional
  • Uses simple, easy-to-source hardware
  • Clean, printable, and robust

🔧 Hardware Required

…and a bit of patience 😅

If this design saved you from replacing perfectly good blinds, a boost would be massively appreciated.
It fuels future tinkering, questionable design decisions, and the occasional “why didn’t I think of that sooner?” moment 😅
