🎯 Poké Ball Storage Box – realistic version (13 Nintendo Switch cartridges) ⚡

This version represents a major evolution of the Poké Ball project.
The objective was ambitious: to maintain storage for 13 Nintendo Switch cartridges while respecting as much as possible the iconic shape and proportions of a real Poké Ball.

To achieve this, the design was completely revised and broken down into several parts.
This choice allows for more controlled printing, at the cost of a longer assembly time, but with a much more faithful final result.

🧩 Design & printing :

Capacity: 13 Nintendo Switch cartridges (Switch 1 & 2)

Shape very close to a real Poké Ball

AMS not required for printing

Assembly by gluing (super glue recommended)

Magnetic closure with Ø3 mm x 2 mm magnets to be glued
👉 Model used : https://www.amazon.fr/dp/B0D31Q6255

Recommended PLA printing, 0.4 mm nozzle

🧠 About supports :
To achieve a better surface finish, using a support PLA filament is a good option.
This requires a multi-material system (AMS or equivalent), but remains entirely optional.
It is of course possible to print "the old way", using supports of the same material and adjusting your parameters according to your machine.

🎉 Final rendering :
This version is clearly the most visually accomplished.
The printing/assembly compromise allows for an object that is both functional and true to the original.

A Poké Ball designed not to catch Pokémon… but to catch and carry your Switch cartridges 😉

👉 Other variations of the cube and concept are available on the profile.
As always, have fun with this model 🚀
