Description
⚒️ Gimli - Son of Gloin | Lord of the Rings Bust

Bring the bravest dwarf of Middle-earth directly to your desk! This detailed bust of Gimli perfectly captures his grim gaze, iconic helmet, and magnificent beard. A must-have for every fan of The Lord of the Rings.
🖨️ Print Recommendations
To best highlight the fine structures of the runes on the helmet and the texture of the beard, I recommend the following settings:
- Layer Height: 0.12mm (for maximum details) or 0.16mm (optimal mix).
- Infill: 10-15% (Gyroid recommended for stability).
- Walls: At least 3 wall lines to ensure a smooth surface.
- Support: Only minimal support needed on the shoulders and helmet edge (depending on orientation).
🎨 Painting Tips (Post-Processing)
This model is excellently suited for various techniques to achieve a realistic look:
- Airbrush: Ideal for priming and soft transitions on the face and large areas of the helmet.
- Dry Brushing: Absolutely recommended! Use lighter silver or gold for the helmet decorations and a light brown/orange for the beard tips. As seen in the example images, the highlights emphasize the 3D structures extremely well.
- Washes: Use a dark "Agrax Earthshade" or similar for the beard and armor crevices to create depth.
