The fifteenth cat tarot card, which is card number 14, Temperance. By adding accessory parts, it can become a hanging tag, used as a bookmark, for divination, or with a magnet on the back, it can be a refrigerator magnet. It has many uses
A cat angel is pouring water from one chalice to another, and this water represents the soul and life. Some believe that the water in the right-hand chalice symbolizes consciousness, while that in the left hand represents the unconscious. Others believe they symbolize matter and spirit respectively. However, no matter what, we can see an interaction in the card image; no matter where the water comes from or goes, it is flowing. Isn't this process a manifestation of harmony and purification The angel stands with one foot in the water and one foot on land. In Western culture, water symbolizes the inner spiritual world, and land represents the outer material world. Therefore, the angel's stance foreshadows our wandering between the spiritual and material worlds, and the process of tempering desires and purifying the soul through practical actions
The angel spreads her wings, symbolizing her attainment of balance. The halo on her head represents wisdom, shining in harmony with the sun sparkling on the distant mountaintop. The water and flora around her symbolize temptation. The Temperance card embodies letting go and self-restraint. In this world full of temptation and laissez-faire, the importance of finding self-balance is self-evident. Although this state may seem ordinary, it is the calm in a hurricane, an inspiring unifying force. Such people exude a steady strength, achieving success quietly amidst peace and composure
The name of this card, "Temperance," is itself the keyword, and it should theoretically be easy to understand. However, the problem is that the term "Temperance" is too broad and often difficult to apply to specific situations, leading to much confusion. The concept of "Temperance" in tarot is similar to our concept of "the Golden Mean," both emphasizing moderation. One should have moderation in life, neither too much nor too little; hold a bowl of water level, neither leaning left nor right. Both self and others must be considered, and external and internal aspects must be balanced. However, the balance of temperance differs from the balance of justice. The balance of justice focuses more on logic and tangible things, while the balance of temperance focuses more on spiritual feeling. Behave appropriately, understand the way of being human, conquer people not by harsh oppression but by virtue; this is the realm of temperance
