calibration tool
Print Profile(1)

Description
This calibration tool is designed to ensure a perfect fit for standard neodymium magnets of 10 by 2 millimeters. It features precise incremental adjustments, with diameters ranging from 10 to 10.5 millimeters, and depths from 5 to 5.5 millimeters. This allows you to test and refine your tolerances, ensuring each magnet fits snugly and securely in your final design.

This is a 60 by 5 by 10 millimeter calibration panel, designed to help you fine-tune fits. Along its sides, you’ll find gaps ranging from 0 to 5.5 millimeters, and along the depth, from 10 to 10.5 millimeters. Additionally, there’s a section for holes, starting at 5 by 10 millimeters and expanding up to 5.4 by 10.4 millimeters, allowing you to test exactly where the perfect fit lies.

I’ve created a circular 10 by 2 test piece that simulates the magnet slot but is actually plastic. Alongside, I’ve made a small rectangular block, 10 by 5 by 5, to check the height—seeing how it fits and if it protrudes slightly. These test tools allow you to verify the gaps between parts, even if you don’t have magnets or other inserts on hand.
