Take-a-Duck / Leave-a-Duck – Mini Mailbox for Ducks

✨ Description

This small duck mailbox is perfectly suited for stylishly hiding, exchanging, or letting ducks travel on. It offers enough space for a standard duck and small messages or cards.

Special Design Features:

• Case and flap are produced in a single print. The integrated hinge is printed directly – no post-processing, no additional parts, secure hold.
• Magnetic Back: The back features recesses for small magnets, allowing the mailbox to adhere securely to metallic surfaces.
• Magnetic Flap Closure: Another magnet ensures that the flap does not swing open unintentionally and remains neatly closed – even in rough seas.

🖨️ Print Instructions

• After printing, carefully move the flap until the hinge runs freely
• You will need four magnets measuring 10 mm x 5 mm for the back, and two magnets measuring 8 mm x 2 mm for the flap. Depending on print accuracy, these can simply be pressed in after printing, but should be secured with some adhesive.
• Printing must absolutely be done lying on its side, otherwise the flap will be directly connected to the box
• If desired, the mailbox can be personalized, for example with your own name on the side (see example image)

News (11.03.2026): At the request of other makers, I have created a new print profile and adjusted the magnet holders on the back, so that 10 x 3 mm magnets can now be used. To ensure the mailbox still holds, I have added a fifth magnet holder.
