Description
This is a 3D-printable RTV Silicone Dispenser — a compact, manual, gun-style tube extruder/squeezer designed for precise, mess-free dispensing of thick pastes from collapsible tubes. It’s perfect for RTV silicone sealant (automotive gasket makers, tile caulk), adhesives, construction sealants, toothpaste, or any similar viscous material.
Inspired by commercial tools like the Valco Tube-Grip, this design delivers controlled extrusion with 10x more pressure than hand-squeezing, maximizing product use (up to ~96% extraction) while reducing waste, air pockets, and hand fatigue. The spring-loaded reset makes it easy to reload and reuse without constant manual adjustment.
Key Features
• Pistol-grip handle for comfortable, one-handed operation — ergonomic and lightweight.
• Pivoting pusher arm/plate with textured contact surface grips the tube’s crimped end securely.
• Tension spring return (~30mm length) automatically resets the mechanism after each squeeze for smooth, repeatable cycles.
• Hardware integration: Uses a 4mm rod (~70mm long) as the main plunger shaft, secured with 2x screw collars (4.05mm bore) for adjustable stops/retainers.
• Front-loading jaws accommodate standard tubes up to ~1-2” wide (common for 3–4 oz RTV/automotive sealant tubes).
• Durable 3D-printable construction — recommended in tough filaments like PETG, ABS, or nylon (35–60% infill, 0.2–0.3mm layers) for handling high-viscosity materials. I’ve only tested PETG and 35% infill and 0.2mm layers and it works great!!
