Printing

If printing the AMS print profile, ignore this statement below.

For the non-AMS print profile, pauses are added to the printing file to allow for manual swapping of filament. As shown in the picture below, the Card Holder plate begins with white and is to be swapped to black when paused. The Card Cover plate begins with red and is to be swapped to black when paused. Finally, the Buttons plate begins with black and is to be swapped to white when paused.

Assembly

Assemble the two box halves as shown below. Squeeze the points circled in red towards one another and rotate the lid towards the box until a click is heard.

Align the button as shown in the image below, with the white detail facing outwards. Slowly rotate the cover of the box towards the button, ensuring all three arms are correctly slotted in the slot on the cover. Once the arms are correctly slotted, close the lid of the box. This will require some force the first time. Repeat this on the other side for the other button.

Note that the parts will likely be tight-fitting initially; resistance in the slide action should decrease over time.

Unfortunately, it didn't work out so well for me. What could be the reason for that

I'll be honest, I wouldn't know exactly the source of that issue. It could be from not fully dry filament, issues with the printer, and/or many other possible issues. Based on the stringing being mostly prevalent on the white part I would assume that the white plastic you're using may not be fully dry or have some other issue with it. Does the white plastic you're using print well for other models?

Very pretty eggs! I am also at a loss then as to why the white part is not printing well. The slicer settings are barely modified from default and shouldn't negatively impact the print quality. Unfortunately from here it's hard to discern the cause of the print quality.

could you please please please do a sports themed one, it would be odd if I put my baseball cards in a polemon box

Well I'll admit I've never had any baseball cards myself and am not the most artistic, but I have published a print profile variant of my playing cards box with baseball decals here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/2338690-pop-up-playing-card-box-case-no-ams#profileId-2665419

Can it hold a standard deck of playing cards? Can it be modified?

As this model is designed to hold 60 cards, it can also hold the conventional playing card amount of 52, albeit relatively loosely. As for modification, if referring to the amount of cards it can hold, small modifications could likely be made to the card box halves with a non-uniform scale change of the Y dimension if the same scale change is applied to both box halves.

does it hold sleeved cards

While I do not have any sleeved cards myself to test with, I would assume if it is wider or taller than an unsleeved card, it will likely not fit.
