Print Profile(1)

Description
Finally finished: Horus. This kicks off my new Ancient Hexagon Series (Anubis and Bastet are already in the works, coming next).
I wanted a piece of decor that looks like heavy, ancient metal but is actually super easy to print.
đ¨ About the Look (The Painting): Don't let the photos fool you, this isn't expensive special filament. I printed the model simply in standard Black PLA. The magic happens afterwards with the "Dry Brush" technique:
- The Head: Brushed with a mix of Bronze and Gold.
- The Clips: I used Copper for the clamps on the edge to create a cool contrast.
- The Frame: Kept dark in Anthracite/Dark Grey so it stands out without stealing the show from the face.
Tip: Wipe your brush almost dry on a paper towel before applying. Less is more here!
đ¨ď¸ My Print Tips: I highly recommend printing this part standing upright (vertical). I know, lying flat is faster and saves supports, but trust me: Standing up, the resolution on the face and beak is worlds better. It's worth it.
- Layer Height: 0.16mm (High Quality).
- Supports: Yes, turn them on. I usually use Tree Supports, but feel free to use the support settings you trust the most.
- Infill: 10-15% is plenty.
Happy Printing! Curious to see how your painting turns out.
