Description

Boost Me (for free)

If you find it useful, nice to be boosted! :)

This is a ventilation grille for the side windows of a VW T6.1.

Printed in PETG-HF for durability in water and high temperatures. The file includes versions for both left and right windows. Each window is split into two halves for easier storage. It also has a printed mosquito net, although you may need to add an additional one.

Installation instructions:

- Open the sliding window.

- Install the bottom part on the glass.

- Slide the top part onto it.

- Close the window until it clicks into place. You can press in the center of the model to make it slide more smoothly.

Tested on a VW California Beach T6.1 camper van. If you liked the model, you can buy me a coffee so I can keep buying filament and refining the model ;P

Hello, first of all, thank you very much for the file, it's a lot of work, I intend to modify it for my Trafic III and I have a question, the width, I understand that you have created it to fit on the first or second fixture of the window opening, is that right? I'm asking because when I modify it, I want to leave it the same way, because I imagine the distances in the sliding door of the Trafic are not even close. Thank you very much and best regards from Cantabria

Hello That's it It fits with the window open and locks with the first position of the slider I don't know how it goes on the traffic Also it follows the curve of the VW window I don't know if it will be the same on yours Good luck

ok thanks, on the trafic it's shorter and with a chamfer at an angle, but your design already gives me a good base to start. that's what I said thanks for your work

Hello I am sorry I cannot help you I only have the P2S With the profile I have published I have printed several windows in PETG successfully by applying glue stick to the bed for extra security with warping although I am not sure if it is necessary The rest are the default parameters for bambulab filament Thank you for the boost

Can you detail the problem for me? I have printed 6 with the usual advice for PETG without issues: dry filament and glue stick on the bed to prevent warping. My printer is the P2S

it keeps messing up on the corner of the window with weird lines.

you can remove the strings with a hot air gun or a lighter. I see the lines you're talking about, but I can't help you. It doesn't happen to me. I use the P2S, Bambu Lab PETG HF filament and textured PEI plate. I guess there are more variables like humidity and ambient temperature. The photos I put on the model are how it comes out of my printer. Maybe someone else can help you. Good luck

My car is a 6.1 California Beach. I printed the driver's side window, but when I installed it, I found that the height was too much and it didn't fit at all. Are the side windows on the California different sizes?
