This project offers a series of hydraulic pipe plugs designed to be practical, resistant, and easy to install thanks to the presence of a hexagonal fitting, which allows tightening and loosening with a wrench, improving grip compared to classic smooth plugs.
📏 Available Sizes
The profile includes four standard sizes, designed to cover the most common needs in the hydraulic field:
- 3/8"
- 1/2"
- 3/4"
- 1"
The models have been designed to ensure good compatibility with standard threads and can be used for temporary closures, leak tests, or pipe protection.
🧱 Recommended Print Settings
The print profile used for testing includes:
- 4 walls (perimeters)
- 30% infill
- no supports
These settings offer a good compromise between mechanical strength and print times. Of course, the parameters can be customized according to specific needs and the material used (PLA, PETG, ABS, Nylon, etc.), especially if the plug is to be used under particular pressure, temperature, or chemical resistance conditions.
