Description

Serve up a fresh basket of satisfaction with this Har Gow (Shrimp Dumpling) Clicker! 🥟✨

Bring the Yum Cha experience to your desktop with this adorable fidget toy. Modeled after the classic crystal shrimp dumpling, this steamer basket features three distinct dumplings that double as buttons for mechanical keyboard switches. Whether you are a dim sum lover, a mechanical keyboard nerd, or just someone who needs to fidget during meetings, this clicker provides the perfect tactile "crunch."

✨ Features:

  • Tactile Satisfaction: Designed to house standard mechanical switches for that addictive, clicky feedback.
  • Authentic Look: The "crystal skin" dumpling shape pairs perfectly with the textured bamboo steamer basket.
  • Zero-Calorie Fidgeting: The most appetizing way to relieve stress without the carbs!
  • Modular Design: The buttons are separate from the basket, making it easy to swap switches or mix and match colors.

🛠️ Bill of Materials (BOM):

To assemble this tasty treat, you will need:

  • 3x Mechanical Keyboard Switches (Standard Cherry MX style). Clicky (Blue) or Tactile (Brown) switches are recommended for the best feedback.
  • Printed Parts: 1x Basket, 3x Har Gow Keycaps.
  • Shouldn't need glue

🖨️ Printing Tips:

  • Basket: Wood PLA looks amazing for the steamer, but Matte Light Brown PLA works great too.
  • Dumplings: For the true "Har Gow" look, use Natural/Translucent PLA or White PLA.
  • Infill: 15% is perfect.
  • Supports: Designed to print without supports!

Or you can mix the dim sum (the base is the same for all these models):

This was a cute print and the design was good. But I had a problem fitting them with these Amazon mechanical switches https://a.co/d/0iyPPUCI. So I had to rescale the har kow up to 105.5% (I think) to get the + from the clicker to fit into the har kow. And in case you didn't know, the switches will be showing after assembly because that's how it was designed. It's a fun clicker and we gave it as a fun gift to my son's friend at dim sum!

Thanks for the feedback. I can’t seem to access the link. Could you show how the switch look like? Is it one with a square box around the cross? Thanks!

Thanks for the image. Sorry a typo in my previous message. I was asking whether in addition to the cross there’s a box surrounding it. By right it should work well with this design. I tried with 2 brands of switches (same design) and they work well and similar. That said, the designs do have tight fit so if there is some “elephant foot” effect for the first layer, you might have to probably tune down the flow rate or tune the elephant foot compensation. Didn’t have to do it over my end so I can’t test it. In any case, thanks for the tip to scale and reporting that it should worked fine :)
