Description

Satyr13

A fantasy creature adapted to the wonderful world of Dummy 13 and Mini 13, this fun little guy features furry goat legs, hooves, and even some little horns that can be inserted into the hair piece.

The Frame

This adaptation features a selection of the original Dummy 13 and Mini 13 frame pieces curated to fit the character. The only real exception to the original Mini 13 frame is that the lower legs are actually arm pieces and the hands and head come from the Dummy 13 for a less boxy result. Assembly of the frame however is the same as the original Mini 13. See the original Mini 13 for instructions but it's pretty straighforward.

The “Armor” or Exterior

Each piece of exterior was crafted painstakingly to fit on the frame and snap into place without looking bulky. Some of the pieces are fragile before assembly and require great care to extract from the supports successfully. Once assembled though, everything should fit snug. A couple of specific instructions:

The Shoulders

Assemble the shoulder frame completely BEFORE adding the shoulder exterior. It also helps to extend the shoulder flat to press the shoulder piece on.

The Hair and Horns

Get some tweezers. You can orient the horns any direction you want but the horns are inserted from the inside out of the hair piece and doing this with fingers is FRUSTRATING. Seriously. Get tweezers. Once you insert the horns and place the hair on the head, they stay in place perfectly. Of course feel free to glue if you want. If I had an AMS I'd design a multicolor print for this part to save some effort but I am saving up for an H2D first to try not to waste filament.

UPDATES:

The Torso, Hip, Thigh, and Knee armor have all been updated in the V3 profile for increased strength and movability. The old profile is still available for those who prefer the more cartoonish torso.
