Mercedes M113K E55 S55 SL55 AMG Airboxspacer
Print Profile(0)
Description
Airbox spacer for the M113K engine from Mercedes Benz
What do the spacers do?
They lift the air filter, allowing air to flow better into the air filter box. (Originally, the front corner of the air filter obstructs the intake channel)
This provides more volume and thus more cool air in the intake tract.
Various measurements showed that the spacers resulted in up to 0.5 seconds faster 100-200 km/h acceleration times.
My own measurement in 2022: previously 9 seconds 100-200 with 18-inch wheels
March 2, 2023: 8.6 seconds 100-200 with 19-inch wheels! Measured with a PGEAR P610
Up to 35 hp gain is even mentioned here http://tunedmercedes.com/performance/cold-intake-air-spacers/
How are they installed?
They simply go into your airbox: remove the air filter, insert the spacer, put the air filter back in. Screw the lid on.
To be able to print them on smaller printers, I have split them into 2 parts; just glue them together, and you're done.
You will also need 15mm longer screws!
