Strong elegant hook for rebated doors.

Strong but elegant hook for rebated doors. It fits on doors with a width of 14mm, but is can easily be adapted in Bambu Studio with the zooming function if you want to use it for a different width. It is quite strong and not to large, and is suitable for hanging coats. I printed it in ABS, and used the standard Bambu setting for ABS GF as a base. However I did some adaptation to make the hook stronger. In the design I made it thick and broad enough, using fillets, and avoiding stress concentrations. Also some adaptations in the  print profile:

• Quality: wall generator Arachne
• Strength: perimeters increased to 5
• Strength: number of top and bottom layers both increased to 6
• Strength: infill to 25% and using Gyroid infill
• printing in horizontal position, in order to have layers in vertical direction while the hook is in use. Reducing delamination risk gives better strength.

• heating the chamber of P1S to about 40C before starting to print.

   

  If the standard settings for ABS GF are used you will obtain a good looking hook as well, but it is not as strong as with the modifications.

  I printed and tested the hook; however you should convince yourself of the quality after printing it with your conditions. The hook is not intended for safety related applications.
